The surface area is calculated based on the room dimensions and surface type. For walls, the perimeter is multiplied by height; for ceilings, length by width; for partitions, the area is doubled. Openings (doors, windows) are subtracted. A waste factor (typically 10%) is added to account for cuts and trimming. The calculator also estimates guide and stud profiles (3 m lengths) and self-tapping screws based on standard consumption rates: 34 screws/m² for walls and ceilings, 50 screws/m² for partitions.
