Estimated Time of Arrival Calculator – Trip Duration & ETA

Calculate your estimated time of arrival (ETA) based on distance, average speed, and start time.

Enter distance, speed, start time, and breaks, then click Calculate ETA.

The Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) calculator helps you determine when you will reach your destination based on the distance, average speed, departure time, and planned breaks. The fundamental formula is: Travel Time = Distance / Average Speed. The ETA is then calculated by adding the travel time to the departure time, including any breaks. This is essential for trip planning, logistics, delivery scheduling, and personal travel. The result shows both the pure driving time and the total time including breaks. The ETA can display "today" or "tomorrow" depending on the duration. This tool is useful for road trips, work commutes, hiking, cycling, and any journey where knowing arrival time matters.

  1. Enter the total Distance to your destination.
  2. Enter your Average Speed (e.g., 80 km/h or 50 mph).
  3. Set the Start Time (hours and minutes).
  4. Optionally add Breaks in minutes.
  5. Click Calculate ETA to see the estimated arrival time.
  6. The result shows travel time, total time, and the arrival clock time.
  7. Click Reset to restore default example values.
